If you have comprehensive coverage with Progressive and carry Arizona’s full-glass option, a windshield replacement typically costs $0 out of pocket. High-Tech Auto Glass bills Progressive directly, comes to your home or job site anywhere in the Phoenix metro, and finishes most jobs the same day you call. Every windshield we install is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. Call (480) 702-2888 or request a quote and we will confirm your Progressive coverage before scheduling.
Does Progressive cover windshield replacement in Arizona?
It comes down to which coverage is on your policy. Liability-only insurance, the Arizona legal minimum, does not pay to fix your own windshield. Comprehensive coverage is what pays for glass damage from a road rock, a hailstorm, or a cracked windshield unrelated to a collision with another car. Arizona’s A.R.S. section 20-264 requires insurers that sell comprehensive coverage to offer a full-glass, zero-deductible option, but you have to select it and it usually adds a small amount to your premium. If you are not sure whether your Progressive policy has that option, check your declarations page or call your agent. Without it, your regular comprehensive deductible applies to a windshield claim. Separately, A.R.S. section 20-263 keeps an insurer from raising your premium over a claim that was not your fault, and a standard glass claim under comprehensive coverage generally qualifies, so filing one should not by itself push your rate up at renewal.
How to file a Progressive glass claim with High-Tech Auto Glass
- Call us first. Reach High-Tech Auto Glass at (480) 702-2888 and tell us about the damage and your vehicle.
- We verify coverage on a three-way call. We call Progressive together with you to confirm your comprehensive coverage and glass deductible before anything is booked.
- We schedule mobile service. We set an appointment at your home, your office, or anywhere else in the Valley, often for the same day.
- We bill Progressive directly. We handle the invoice and claim documentation with Progressive or its glass claims administrator so you are not doing paperwork.
Arizona law gives you the right to choose your own licensed glass shop for a covered claim, even if Progressive’s claims system first suggests a network shop. You can simply tell the representative you want High-Tech Auto Glass.
OEM or aftermarket glass on a Progressive claim
Trucks and SUVs with driver-assist cameras, a Ford F-150 with Ford Co-Pilot360 is a common example in our territory, have a camera behind the windshield that watches lane markings and traffic. Any time that glass comes out, the camera has to be recalibrated, either with a static setup on target boards at our shop or a dynamic drive on marked Valley roads. High-Tech performs this calibration on every camera-equipped vehicle and gives you a printed calibration report when the job is complete. We are explicit about this because a common complaint we hear about other glass jobs is aftermarket glass going into a camera-equipped car without the customer being told, which can throw off how the camera reads the road. Ask us before we start which glass we plan to install, OEM or OEE, and we will answer directly. If your Progressive claim involves a vehicle whose ADAS system calls for original manufacturer glass, we use it and note that in the file.

Progressive windshield FAQ
Will Progressive give me a rental car during the repair?
Usually you will not need one. Mobile windshield service happens at your home or office, and with cure time most appointments wrap up in under two hours, so you keep driving your own vehicle the same day.
Does Progressive waive the deductible for a chip repair?
Many comprehensive policies waive the deductible when a chip can be repaired instead of replaced, since a repair costs far less. Confirm with Progressive whether your policy includes that waiver, and ask us for a free inspection to see if repair is still an option.
My teenager is on my Progressive policy and cracked the windshield. Does that change anything?
No. Coverage follows the vehicle and the policy, not who was driving, as long as the driver was a covered driver on the policy. We handle the claim the same way regardless of who was behind the wheel.
What deductible applies to my Progressive glass claim?
That depends on whether you added the Arizona zero-deductible glass option. With it, you owe nothing. Without it, your regular comprehensive deductible applies. Your declarations page will tell you which one is on file.
Is ADAS calibration covered under my Progressive glass claim?
Calibration is treated as part of a proper windshield replacement on a camera-equipped vehicle and is typically included in the same glass claim we bill to Progressive, rather than charged to you separately.
