High-Tech Auto Glass bills State Farm directly, so you are not stuck paying up front and waiting on reimbursement. Call (480) 702-2888 or request a quote and we will check your coverage before we schedule anything.
Does State Farm cover windshield replacement in Arizona?
It depends on which coverage you carry. Liability-only policies, which meet Arizona’s legal minimum, do not pay for damage to your own car, including your windshield. Comprehensive coverage pays for glass damage from rocks, hail, vandalism, or a cracked windshield not caused by hitting another vehicle. Under Arizona A.R.S. section 20-264, insurers that sell comprehensive coverage here must offer policyholders the option to add full glass coverage with no deductible, sometimes called a zero-deductible or safety-glass endorsement. This is not automatic. It has to be selected on your policy, usually for a modest additional premium, so check your declarations page or ask your agent whether that option is already on your State Farm policy. If your policy has a standard comprehensive deductible instead, you pay that amount and the insurer covers the rest. Separately, Arizona A.R.S. section 20-263 limits an insurer’s ability to raise your premium over a claim that was not your fault, which includes most glass claims. A single windshield claim under State Farm’s comprehensive coverage generally should not by itself trigger a rate increase at renewal.
How to file a State Farm glass claim with High-Tech Auto Glass
- Call us first. Reach High-Tech Auto Glass at (480) 702-2888 and describe the damage. We ask for your policy number and vehicle details up front.
- We verify your coverage on a three-way call. We call State Farm together with you, confirm your comprehensive coverage and whether the zero-deductible glass option applies, and open the claim on the spot.
- We schedule mobile service. Once coverage is confirmed, we set an appointment at your home, workplace, or anywhere else in the Valley that works for your schedule, usually the same day or the next morning.
- We bill State Farm directly. You are not the one chasing paperwork. We submit the invoice to the insurer and handle the claim documentation on our end.
Arizona law lets you choose any licensed glass shop for a covered repair. If State Farm’s claims line suggests a preferred network shop, you can still tell the representative you want High-Tech Auto Glass to do the work, and the insurer is required to honor that choice for a covered claim.
OEM or aftermarket glass on a State Farm claim
Most newer vehicles, including a Toyota RAV4 with Toyota Safety Sense, have a camera behind the windshield that reads lane markings and traffic ahead. Replacing the glass moves that camera, even by a fraction of an inch, and the manufacturer requires recalibration afterward, either with a static target-board setup in our shop or a dynamic drive on marked roads. High-Tech performs that calibration on every ADAS-equipped vehicle and gives you a printed calibration report as proof the system was checked and reset. Some negative experiences with glass claims come from a shop installing aftermarket glass on a camera-equipped car without saying so. Before your appointment, ask us directly which glass we are installing, OEM or OEE, and we will tell you plainly. If your vehicle’s ADAS package needs the original manufacturer’s glass to calibrate correctly, we will use it and note that in your file with State Farm.

State Farm windshield FAQ
What deductible applies to a State Farm glass claim?
It depends on the coverage you selected. If your policy has the Arizona zero-deductible glass endorsement, you owe nothing. If you only have standard comprehensive coverage, your regular deductible applies to a windshield replacement. Check your declarations page or ask your agent to confirm which one is on your policy.
Does State Farm waive the deductible for a chip repair instead of a full replacement?
Many comprehensive policies waive the deductible for a repair, since fixing a chip early is cheaper than a full replacement later. Ask State Farm whether your policy includes that waiver, and ask us for a free chip inspection to see if repair is still possible.
Will I get a rental car while my windshield is being replaced?
Usually you will not need one. Mobile windshield replacement typically takes under two hours including cure time, and we come to you, so most State Farm customers keep driving their own car the same day without ever needing a rental.
Can I still choose High-Tech Auto Glass if State Farm suggests a different shop?
Yes. Arizona law gives you the right to pick your own licensed glass shop for a covered claim, regardless of which shop a claims representative first mentions. Just tell them you want High-Tech Auto Glass and give them our information.
Do I have coverage if my policy is registered in another state but I am in Phoenix?
Comprehensive coverage generally follows the vehicle, but glass endorsement rules can vary by the state where the policy was issued. We will confirm the details with State Farm on your call before scheduling.
